Personalized Coaching Programs
Our programs are dynamic and comprehensive to provide clients with lifelong results.
Signature Program: Joyful Foundations Puppy Program
- This program is designed for first time puppy owners, owners who haven’t worked with a puppy in a long period of time, or the owner who is looking for the “go everywhere dog”. Our biggest focus is socialization, resiliency, and coping skills. The critical socialization window is between 3-12 weeks of age, so it is crucial to partner with a professional dog trainer as soon as the puppy arrives home at 8+ weeks of age.
- We focus on potty/crate/sleep training, appropriate socialization, and basic household and public manners to create a well-rounded, resilient pup. Our motto is “learn to train proactively”, and this is exactly our goal in this program.
- We provide a series of coaching sessions, a day training session, access to virtual training resources including training videos, PDF’s, and training logs, 2 free e-books on health/safety and behavior/training, equipment for the program (recommended but not required), communication with a trainer during the program, and access to an online training course designed by Bark 4 Joy.
- Investment begins at $1,197. Schedule a call to learn if this is the best program for you and your pup.
Joyful Progressions: Adolescent Academy
- This program is designed to be a continuation of our initial puppy program, but anyone is welcome to sign up. Our customers often ask for more breaks from their puppies, as well as more equipment. We took these needs to create a special program just for you! This program is tailored towards dogs 5-12 months of age. Those who have completed our puppy program will receive a 10% discount towards this program!
- We provide a series of day training sessions, as well as a follow up coaching sessions to relay the information to you.
- Investment begins at $597+ depending on the assistance desired.
Private Coaching
- Whether you're struggling with loose leash walking, reactivity, polite greetings, recall, or everyday manners, we'll build a personalized coaching program that addresses your dog's behavior and gives you the skills to maintain progress long after training ends.
- Includes coaching sessions (number of sessions to be determined during our discovery calls), homework, access to our virtual resources, and communication with our trainers throughout the program.
- We can work with clients on anything - examples include loose leash walking, polite greetings, recall, reactivity, and aggression*
- *We take aggression clients on a case-by-case basis.
- Investment begins at $597+ for general manners and $1,097 for more severe aggression/reactivity cases. Each program is customized to the family and dog, so schedule a call to learn more.
Why are some coaching programs virtual?
- Dogs learn best in the environments were they live
- Coaching focuses on teaching you, not just your dog
- You'll receive live feedback as you practice
- We reduce distractions that come with a stranger in the home
- You'll build confidence to continue training independently
- We don't need to see a behavior to fix it

Our coaching programs are designed to teach you how to confidently train your dog, not just have your dog respond to us during a lesson. Virtual coaching allows us to observe your dog’s behavior in their everyday environment while providing real-time guidance as you practice new skills. This approach helps create lasting results because you’re actively involved in the training process from the very beginning.
Yes! For most training and behavior goals, virtual coaching can be just as effective as in-person sessions because the focus is on helping you develop the skills to successfully train your own dog. You’ll receive personalized instruction, live feedback, and training plans tailored to your dog’s individual needs. Many clients are surprised by how much progress they can make while working from the comfort of their own home.
In many cases, no. We can assess your dog’s body language, behavior, and training progress through live video while observing them in the environment where they spend most of their time. In fact, many dogs behave more naturally at home, which gives us valuable insight into their everyday challenges and allows us to address the situations that matter most.
Not always. Virtual coaching is a great fit for many goals, including puppies, basic manners, adolescent dogs, behavior modification, and many service dog training goals. However, there are situations where an in-person evaluation or additional hands-on support may be the better choice. During your discovery call, we’ll discuss your goals and determine the training format that will best support you and your dog.
