A business/organization can select one or multiple of the above topics. A certified trainer will discuss distinctions, appropriate expectations, legal framework, and animal welfare.

Audience: Therapists, counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, disability organizations, housing professionals, schools, Scouts, camps
Human-Animal Bond & Client Well-Being
We will discuss how dog behavior, caregiving demands, attachment, and pet-related stress can affect daily life for an owner. You’ll learn helpful techniques for sessions, and you’ll be provided with resources to benefit your clients and guide your sessions.
Example: A counselor works with an owner struggling with a 3 year old dog with separation anxiety. The owner is concerned about medication and the dog’s safety.
Audience: Therapists, counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers
Pet Professional Partnership
This broad category can account for a variety of topics including cooperative care, training needs of senior dogs, compulsive disorders, behavioral training, and more. We partner with veterinary clinics for behavioral evaluations and risk assessments, behavioral consults for veterinarians or clients, cooperative care visits (virtual and in-person), and lunch and learns. We also work with groomers and daycares.
Example: Bark 4 Joy can host a lunch and learn for the clinic staff and veterinarians to dive deeper into a behavior topic.
Audience: Veterinary clinics, grooming facilities, and daycare facilities
Dog Handling and Safety
Dog bite prevention is critical with younger generations. To ensure safety, our discussions focus on dog body language, safe dog handling, and preventing dog bites. Kids will learn valuable information that will serve them at home, in the community, or in future jobs such as dog sitting.
Example: A 15-year-old is interested in offering dog sitting services. She completes our Dog Handling and Safety course for a certificate of completion. She has learned skills to handle a dog appropriately on and off-leash, recognize dog body language, and ensure she avoids conflict with dogs.
Audience: Kids ages 6+ – Schools, Scouts, daycares, afterschool programs, camps
